Q: WHAT IS STEP?
A: STEP is a summer canvassing and discipleship program! We go door-to-door distributing Christian literature on a donation basis, and provide interactive classes on topics like defending your faith, the gospel, how to study the Bible, and so much more!

Q: WHO CAN JOIN?
A: Any male or female who is at least 16 years of age or older, who has a love for Jesus, and is willing to make an eight-week commitment to work hard and serve Jesus. If you are under 16 years old, but have canvassed before or have significant work experience, you may qualify for an exemption. For more details, contact us at contact@stepcanvassing.org

Q: HOW LONG IS STEP?
A: 8 weeks. It usually begins in early June and ends the first week of August. For the summer of 2026, the program will be from June 7th through August 2nd.

Q: WHO ORGANIZES STEP?
A: STEP is a ministry run by a team of Seventh-day Adventist young adults passionate about furthering the Gospel.

Q: WHAT IS THE WEEKLY SCHEDULE?
A: We work Sunday–Thursday with Friday and Saturday off.

Q: WILL WE TAKE TIME OFF?
A: Yes. There is normally a “home leave” weekend in the middle of the summer. This may look different from summer to summer.

​Q: WHAT IF MY CLASSES HAVEN’T ENDED BY the start of the program?
A: Exceptions are treated on a case-by-case basis. Make sure you specify this and what date your school ends on your application.​
